AIChE is proud to celebrate the remarkable contributions of women chemical engineers who are shaping the future of the profession. This Women鈥檚 History Month, AIChE鈥檚 Women in 今日看料 Engineering (WIC) Community is launching its second annual 鈥淲IC is You鈥 campaign, spotlighting outstanding women within AIChE. Through this initiative, WIC continues to honor the achievements and amplify the voices of women in chemical engineering while fostering a supportive environment for professional growth.

More on the campaign

In its second year, the 鈥淲IC is You鈥 campaign builds on last year鈥檚 success as WIC leaders continue to spotlight outstanding women in chemical engineering in the AIChE community. Last year鈥檚 campaign can largely be found on Twitter using the #WICisYOU hashtag. This year, the campaign expands its reach beyond Twitter, and will also be featuring the nominees on WIC鈥檚 Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.

Follow WIC's social media accounts below and stay tuned throughout March to meet inspiring women making significant contributions in their fields.

Nominate an outstanding woman

WIC is still accepting nominations for the 鈥淲ic is You鈥 campaign. If you know of an outstanding woman chemical engineer in the AIChE community, nominate them via the form below.

Below, meet some of the outstanding women featured in the campaign.

Madelyn Ball

Madelyn Ball is an assistant professor at Michigan State University. Her research interests are in the area of heterogeneous catalysis, focusing on design of well controlled nanoparticle materials.

Fun fact: She began at MSU this past fall.

Spenser Brown Cox

Dr. Spenser Brown Cox is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  Her scientific interests include microscopy (confocal, TEM, SEM, AFM, cryoEM) and cell culture.

Fun fact: She loves to bake, crochet, and host trivia.

Kylie D. Howard

Kylie is a graduate student at Rowan University. Her interests include heterogeneous catalysis for biorefinery technologies.

Fun fact: Kylie has a cat named Cowboy who she adopted as a kitten when he was eight weeks old.

Sara Molinari

Sara is an assistant professor at the University of Maryland College Park. She is interested in synthetic biology/ engineered living materials.

Fun fact: Despite being born and raised in Italy, she doesn't like espresso and only drinks drip coffee.

Fouzia Hasan Nowrin

Fouzia is a volunteer research assistant at Texas Tech University. Her interests include material and process development towards sustainability.
